About Adam Sutton


 

Attorney Adam M. Sutton

Adam Sutton is a born and raised Georgia resident who graduated from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in the top 12% of his class. He is recognized for his exemplary advocacy skills and exceptional work ethic and has earned several awards for excellence including awards for Pre-trial Writing, Professional Responsibility, and The Custer-Tuggle Award of Excellence in Family Law.

 

 

Adam was sworn into the practice of law before the Fulton County Superior Court and the Georgia Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Cobb County Bar Association. He is a member of multiple local referral programs, a volunteer attorney for Cobb County Legal Aid, and a member of the Kennesaw Business association.

 

Adam is an experienced mediator who received civil and domestic mediation training and arbitration training from Decision Management Associates. Acting as a mediator, he has been a member of multiple court appointed programs and has successfully resolved over 100 cases.

 

Upon special request, Adam also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in family law cases where custody is in dispute and the well-being of the child is in question. Adam received specialized Guardian Ad Litem training from the DeKalb County Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.

 

Adam is a prolific writer whose family law and dispute resolution articles are published online, in local newspapers, and in State Bar publications. He is editor of DR Currents, a mediation and arbitration oriented newsletter. He is also an experienced public speaker, a guest college lecturer and mediation trainer, Mock Trial and Moot Court volunteer judge, and an inner-city Teen Court mentor.
